Wild bear scratches his back on tree trunk
A wild bear used a tree trunk to scratch an itch on its back.
Footage shows the Malayan sun bear standing on its hind legs in front of the hardwood in Phetchaburi province, Thailand, on July 26.
It swayed left and right to rub its itchy back onto it until it was relieved.
A park visitor who stayed at the Bang Krang campsite said: ‘It was a campground in a protected jungle. We went there to get the chance to see many rare animals.
‘The bear appeared and made the tourists happy by scratching its back on a tree.'
The Malayan sun bear, also known as the honey bear, is a bear species found in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia. It is smallest of the bear species, with adults typically standing for only up to five feet.
