An aircraft carrier docked at the Suxitong Science and Technology Industrial Park caught fire in the Yangtze River in Jiangsu, China, on Friday night.

Footage shows the ship called Minsk being engulfed in flames on August 16. The blaze reportedly started during its dismantling and reconstruction.

The Nantong Fire Department said in a statement: 'At present, the fire rescue, emergency, public security, and other departments are fully handling the situation. No casualties were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.'

The Soviet Navy owned the Minsk before being decommissioned in 1993. It was then sold to a Chinese company to be displayed at a theme park.
