A devoted rescue team leapt up from the table and left their dinner uneaten to respond to an emergency call when an accident was reported.

The volunteers were eating their meal at the station when their leader received the call reporting a crash in Chanthaburi, Thailand on August 24.

Inspiring CCTV footage shows the men standing up from their chairs to rush to their truck to respond to a distress call.

Some of them took a quick sip of water, unable to finish their food while they quickly left the dining table to head to an emergency.

One of the volunteers Teramat Soimalee said: ‘You really need to move very quickly because every second counts.'
