A British husband allegedly trashed his brother-in-law's bar and burned his wife's clothes before being attacked in Thailand.

Alastair Stuart Cooper, 58, from Hull, broke into the Epic Bar in the Thai 'Sin City' Pattaya in a drunken rampage on October 16.

CCTV footage shows him barging into the building at around 6:30 pm local time as he bellowed: 'F***** c**t! I'm here! Get your a** down here! I'm coming for you!'

The rampaging Brit hurled cue balls at liquor bottles before storming up the second floor, smashing through a board panel beside a door to force it open as he screamed: 'You f*****g f****t!'

Bar owner Thong, 39, said he was sleeping on the third floor when he heard his brother-in-law's outburst from below.

Alastair was said to have broken into his room and attacked him, claiming the bedroom was his, before the younger man subdued him with an elbow to the head.

When he was kicked out of the bar, he then allegedly dumped his Thai wife's clothes outside and set them ablaze.

Video shows the pile of designer clothes burning on the property as Alastair video called his spouse Chonticha Thuengnok, 47, telling her: 'I am burning all of your clothes, come back quickly.'

The shocked woman called the police, who rushed to the residence and found the Brit bleeding from a head wound. He was taken to Pattaya Bhattamakun Hospital for treatment.

Speaking today, Police Colonel Anek Sathongyoo said: ‘The case is under investigation.

'For now, we'd like both parties to talk calmly first since it's a family matter. They are supposed to come in for mediation today.'

Chonticha said she had been married to Alastair for eight years, during which he allegedly abused her both physically and verbally.

She said: 'I've forgiven him so many times I've lost count.

‘In the first two years, he was crazy, breaking cars, talking to himself, and once beating me until I fractured my tailbone.

'Then he was normal for a while, but two months ago it got worse again. He even went to the embassy to claim I abused him. He drinks daily and becomes paranoid.

‘When he has money, he's generous — buys expensive gifts for everyone. But when he's broke, he accuses me of stealing or says I sleep with other men. He's fought with his ex-wife, too. The police advised me to file for divorce.

‘He drinks alone every day and shouts at anyone who walks by. At night, he sleeps with a knife beside his bed.'

Chonticha said today that Alastair has apologised for his rampage, claiming 'he didn't know what he was doing'.

She added: 'He thinks he's unwell and asked to see a doctor. He said he loves me and doesn't want to break up. He promised to post a public apology and delete the posts accusing me of selling cocaine. I'll take him to see a doctor, and we'll talk again at the police station today.'

Chonticha's brother Thong said Alastair was a 'threat' to those around him as he constantly carried a knife, and would go berserk whenever he was low on cash.

He said: 'I don't live with him, but my sister does. I usually stay at the shop to help run the business. I don't know what triggered him that day, but we've had problems before. He once came into the shop and tried to stab me and others. Both times he was drunk. This time was the worst — he threatened to burn the place down, so we had to hide the motorbike elsewhere.

'The doors and walls were damaged, and repairs could cost several thousand baht.

'We want him deported and blacklisted. We've already asked for the embassy's help. His behavior has worsened with age, appearing to show signs of mental instability.

'He said police wouldn't dare arrest him. When we reported the incident, officers said they could only arrest him if they caught him in the act.'

Thong also slammed the police for their alleged inaction after Alastair allegedly injured Chonticha during a knife rampage on Sunday.

He said: 'He chased people in the house and stabbed my sister four times, slashing her across the back. He locked my sister in a chokehold and tried to cut her throat, but others in the house managed to pull him away in time. If they hadn't, she would've been killed.

'Police later arrived and took her for medical treatment, but they didn't do anything. They took him to the station, but he ran away.

'That guy had cut all the CCTV cables earlier that morning, as if he had planned the assault in advance. He also smashed the garage, with photos taken as evidence.

'The police said it wasn't a serious case — just a domestic dispute. But if this isn't serious, then what is?

'We are now fearing for our lives. We've decided to find somewhere safe.'

Tourists and expats are regularly attacked or caught up in crime, leading Pattaya to be dubbed 'Sin City'.

Embarrassed officials in the central government have launched tourism initiatives to attract families and rebrand Pattaya as a safe destination.

Authorities have also introduced safety measures, such as improved lighting and CCTV.

Despite some success in cleaning up the town's image, alcohol and sex remain its biggest draws, often leading to a high rate of crime and accidents.
