Villager Asoke and his friends rode on a boat to feed the starving animals in the inundated neighbourhood following heavy rain in Sisaket province on October 16.

Carrying plastic bags full of food, they roamed the flood-stricken streets to ensure the hapless creatures would not go hungry.

Thailand has been battered by intense rain and severe floods for several weeks, with the situation made worse by the recent Typhoon Noru.

Meteorologists have blamed climate change for the sustained stormy weather, which has been hitting the Thai capital and provinces around the country.
