This is the shocking moment a driver flips his truck to avoid a collision with a car.

The road traffic incident unfolded at the intersection of Lenin and Lunacharsky streets in Tarusa, Kaluga Oblast, Russia, on the afternoon of August 31.

In the CCTV video, a white truck can be seen picking up speed as it moves down the road and tries to negotiate a turn.

But on the turn, the vehicle skids, and under its weight, it falls and flies away, almost hitting the little red car.

Local media reported that the flipped truck was carrying potatoes and blocked the entrance to the prosecutor's office.

Head of the district administration Mikhail Golubev said: 'According to preliminary data, the driver, driving a truck along Lenin Street, ignoring the prohibitory sign 'No trucks allowed,' lost control and flipped.

'As a result, the driver was taken to the Tarusa Central District Hospital with injuries.

'Fortunately, there are no more victims.

'Pedestrian traffic and the entrance to the district prosecutor's office are blocked.'
