SOUNDBITE 1 (English): MARC SEGURA, Global President of ABB Robotics Division
"We believe and we are still seeing the things coming up again very fast as always have done in China. That's why we're very committed and very happy to be here (in China). The China market continues to grow, and it is expanding in automotive (field) in the transformation to new energy vehicle in China and the Chinese brands (are) going abroad. But also new segments in China like health care, logistics are also growing. So we want to be well positioned with products that feed the Chinese needs."
Swiss tech giant ABB's mega factory in Shanghai is the largest robotics R&D, manufacturing and application base for ABB worldwide.
SOUNDBITE 2 (English): MARC SEGURA, Global President of ABB Robotics Division
"We have our great mega factory that we're leveraging on. We have our own R&D team here. On one hand, we continue to leverage a fantastic ecosystem of supply chain in China. So we can do products really tailored for the Chinese market. And on the other hand, we see opportunities, as I said, on new markets opened up by artificial intelligence. So robots can do things that they could not do before.
Our Chinese team is developing robots for the China market, but more and more these products are being successful in the world. So we are in perfect synchronization with the greatness of the things that are happening here."
