Record-Breaking Floods Ravage Roswell, NM: One Death Confirmed, Streets Submerged"

Script:
"Steven Byrd, a Roswell, New Mexico, resident, shares dramatic footage taken on Sycamore Street after returning from El Paso on October 19th. Steven recounts his struggle to navigate the flooded streets, saying, 'I had just come back from El Paso and had to drive around looking for a way home, but so many streets were flooded.'

In a post on his X account, Steven wrote, 'Crazy flooding here in #Roswell New Mexico.' His video shows the extent of the disaster as the city was submerged under a record-breaking storm.

According to the National Weather Service in Albuquerque, Roswell received 5.78 inches of rain on Saturday, October 19th, setting an all-time daily record, surpassing the previous record of 5.65 inches set in 1901. This powerful storm has led to one confirmed death, and local authorities are bracing for more flash flooding as additional rain and storms are forecasted for Sunday in the Roswell region of eastern New Mexico.
