BMW rams Lamborghini in alleged staged accident to claim insurance
This is the moment a BMW rams into a Lamborghini in an alleged staged accident aimed at claiming insurance.
Footage shows the two luxury cars colliding in what is reportedly an attempt to defraud insurers in Cluj, north-western Romania, on September 8.
Investigators launched the case after reviewing public footage of the crash involving a BMW and a Lamborghini valued at 100,000 Euros.
Officers from Cluj's Criminal Investigation Service and the Cluj-Napoca Traffic Bureau conducted 11 house searches and arrested three individuals in connection with the case on October 21.
The trio, whose identities have not been disclosed, faces charges of insurance fraud, attempted fraud, and making false statements.
Authorities suspect that the accident was premeditated to claim payouts from RCA and CASCO insurance policies.
