I was part of this group of adventurous happy people that took a boat down a river on way to visit Thailand's highest waterfall, Thi Lo Su. The boat trip was wonderful and started off very gently and smoothly. It was a 2 hour journey, we started off very gently and relaxing, but later we encountered some rapids, and at one stage, I was shocked when our boat crashed into a large rock, I called out "Captain down" he was the one controlling our direction with a paddle. Luckily he was unhurt and one of the passengers supported him as he fell backwards into our boat. With a little help he was able to regain his position in front of the boat, and continue to guide us on our adventure. There was a lot of joking and laughter mixed with some scream of terror. Finally we came to a most amazing sight, a beautiful rainbow in the river, created by water droplets streaming down the mountain above the river. It was heavenly, I was mesmerized by it. We even spotted a double rainbow. An unforgettable adventure.
