This is the dramatic moment a farmer raced outside to rescue a tethered buffalo stuck in a hole.

The farm animal took a step back, causing it to fall into a pit in the front yard of a house in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, on October 29.

CCTV footage shows a woman riding a motorcycle hearing the struggling buffalo. She then stepped out of the vehicle and stared at the hapless beast.

Moments later, a man ran to the rescue and attempted to retrieve the buffalo, but it was too heavy.

After several unsuccessful attempts, he called his friends for help. Two men arrived with a pickup truck to assist in yanking the animal out using a rope.

They eventually rescued the buffalo, which reportedly did not sustain any serious injuries from the incident.
