This is the impressive moment a chef cooked a tasty Chinese stir-fry meal from scratch, using only his bare hands to flip the ingredients.

The cook demonstrated the traditional technique from China while preparing the tasty dish at his home in Hubei on August 29.

Footage shows him using his hand to flip a sunny-side-up egg and stir beans and other vegetables in a hot wok.

He then added broth and water, letting it boil before adding noodles, seasonings, meat, and the egg, completing the mouth-watering dish.

The technique used by the chef is called wok hei, which means 'breath of the wok' in the Far East. Locals believe that it adds to the taste.

In this style of cooking, some chefs use their bare hands to toss and shift ingredients within a wok rather than using utensils, especially in high-heat cooking.

The technique is often seen in traditional Chinese stir-frying, where chefs quickly toss the ingredients in the hot wok, which intensifies flavors and creates the signature smoky taste and aroma.
