A hapless pet dog was found with its head stuck in the holes of a wooden fence.

The four-year-old golden retriever named Chopper went out in the morning to play and do its toilet routine but when owner Chielo Carbonel woke up, the pooch was found silently trying to free itself in Zambales, the Philippines on October 28.

Footage shows Chopper standing still while its neck was lodged through the gap.

Pet owner Chielo Carbonel said to Chopper in the video, 'How did you fit in there? It is too early in the morning. What have you been doing?'

Chielo later removed Chopper, and the dog returned to play in the yard.

Golden retrievers are generally known for being friendly, loyal, and intelligent. They are also naturally playful and curious with their surroundings.
