Cruise ship passenger, 69, airlifted to safety near Puerto Rico
This is the heroic moment a cruise ship passenger was airlifted to safety near Puerto Rico.
Footage shows the 69-year-old American passenger being medevacked from the Carnival Vista vessel on November 7.
A U.S. Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter aircrew was dispatched.
Reportedly, the ship was positioned roughly 45 miles southwest of Mona Island when the passenger suffered health complications requiring immediate medical attention.
The patient was successfully transported to Centro Medico Hospital in San Juan.
