Boston, United States - November 15, 2024 Chaos erupted outside Boston’s South Station when a scaffolding plank crashed to the ground, narrowly missing thousands of commuters on Friday. Surveillance footage captured the dramatic moment, showing the plank land just feet from Zoe Eisenstein, dressed in pink. Eisenstein recalled the heart-stopping experience, saying she initially thought there was an active shooter. “I kind of jumped out of the way, but then I saw it next to me,” she said. “My mom was just like, ‘Zoe, you could have died.’ And that’s when it hit me, like oh my God.” The sudden incident left bystanders in shock. “There was one woman who was like, ‘Get out of the way!’ And some people started running away a little bit,” Eisenstein recounted.
