The majestic creatures, aboard open container trucks, were spotted interacting with each other in Kelantan, Malaysia, on November 7.
Footage captured by Nik Aidil Marina shows the elephants using their trunks to gently touch each other's heads.
Elephants often use their trunks to show affection by stroking the heads or backs of fellow elephants or comforting distressed herd members.
Malaysia has a long history of domesticated elephants, once used in the palaces of Malay Sultans. While the tradition faded in the 19th century, it was revived in 1974. Today, the country maintains a registration scheme for captive elephants, primarily in zoos.
