Passenger endures flight with broken tray table held together by tape
A passenger endured a flight with a broken tray table held together by tape.
The traveller, aboard a Boeing 737 operated by Shandong Airlines in China, discovered that the collapsible tray was stuck open and immovable.
Footage shows the passenger attempting to close the tray, but it repeatedly swung open unless secured with tape on October 24.
The filmer said: 'This seat is next to the emergency exit, and the tape doesn't help. It kept falling open 7-8 times during the flight.'
A tray table that cannot be securely stowed poses safety risks, including the potential to move unexpectedly, which could injure passengers or crew during turbulence or sudden movements.
