Los Angeles, United States - November 29, 2024 11/29/2024 04:42 pm (GMT-0800) BREA, Calif. – BREA PD PRESS RELEASE: On November 28, 2024, at approximately 4:42 p.m., Brea PD Officers were notified of a possible DUl driver in the area of Lambert and the 57 Freeway. Officers responded and found a vehicle matching the description up against a retaining wall in the westbound lanes of Lambert, east of the 57 freeway. Officers made contact with the driver. A short time later, an officer involved shooting occurred. The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff. Per department policy, the Orange County District Attorney's office responded to the scene to initiate an investigation into the circumstances of the officer involved shooting.
