This is the satisfying moment a mother plucked a tick that burrowed deep into her daughter's ear.

The seven-year-old kid returned home after playing outside and that something was moving inside her cochlea in Chonburi, Thailand, on November 30.

Footage shows the parent with a pair of tweezers on a DIY operation and using it to pull the parasite off the youngster.

She was lighthanded, and it took only seconds before the tick was extracted. The girl tried to resist, but the parasite was removed before she smiled at her mum.

Mother Montira Dee Ngam said: 'She said it was itchy and painful, so we checked. I was shocked when I saw there was a tick inside.

'I did not panic because it might scare my girl. So we did what we had to do and removed it in seconds.'

The disgusted mum threw the tick into a drain outside and cleaned her daughter's ear.

Ticks can spread diseases like Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever, which can make you feel sick with symptoms like fever and joint pain.
