United Kingdom - October 29, 2024 The Boxer Mechanised Infantry Vehicle (MIV) has entered testing at the Millbrook Proving Ground, showcasing its advanced capabilities as the new backbone of the British Army’s mechanized infantry. This eight-wheeled, all-terrain, armoured transport vehicle is designed with a unique modular structure, featuring a drive module and a mission module that can be quickly adapted for various military roles across diverse operational environments. Originally, 523 Boxer vehicles were ordered in four configurations to cover eleven different military roles. Following the Integrated Review, an additional 100 units have been approved, further strengthening the UK’s armoured forces. With its versatile design and rapid deployment capability, the Boxer is set to play a critical role in future military operations globally.
