Shop owner rescues elderly man in Chinese market
This is the dramatic moment a shop owner rescued an elderly man in a Chinese market.
The pensioner collapsed in the middle of the walkway, prompting the man to save him from hitting his head during the fall in Shaoguan, China, on November 30.
CCTV footage shows the elderly shopper stepping back while holding his foldable trolley before suddenly falling backwards to the ground. The shopkeeper and another man rushed to help.
The owner can be seen slipping on the pavement as he tried to break the pensioner's fall.
The rescuers then carefully lifted the man and checked if he was okay.
Local reports said that the pensioner did not sustain any serious injuries from the incident.
