Sea turtle falls sleep while having his tummy scrubbed
This is the amusing moment a sea turtle fell asleep while having its tummy scrubbed.
A zookeeper bathed the adorable juvenile Hawksbill Sea turtle at a turtle sanctuary in Mie Prefecture, Japan on November 27.
Footage shows the seemingly relaxed animal closing its eyes as the staff rubbed its body with a loofah.
The keeper said: 'This turtle loves to take baths. We make sure that the animals in our sanctuary are well taken care of.'
Roadside Station Sea Turtle Park is the only roadside station in the country with a sea turtle conservation facility attached. It is working to protect sea turtles injured in the wild, return them to the wild, and breed them.
Hawksbill turtles are protected by international agreements like the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and the Convention on Migratory Species.
