Kangaroo brawls with cormorant in its enclosure
This is the amusing moment a kangaroo brawled with a cormorant in its enclosure.
The joey attempted to grab the black bird but was met with a swift counterattack from the feathered creature at Hongshan Zoo in Hubei, China, on October 30.
Footage shows the juvenile marsupial dodging the strikes from its aggressive opponent. Realising it could not fight back, the kangaroo eventually hopped away.
The encounter left zoo-goers in awe as they watched the unexpected interaction between the two animals.
Male cormorants are known to engage in competitive displays to defend their nesting territories and can rear back with their long necks to strike without warning.
