This gaping hole in the ground leads to a secret cave pool
A gaping hole in the ground leads to a beautiful secret cave pool in the Philippines.
Footage shows the pitch-dark pit that, when zoomed in, revealed tourists snorkelling in clear waters at Cagagnow Cave Pool in Bohol province on November 27.
The water-filled cave had a ladder leaning from its mouth, which visitors use to climb up and down.
It can be accessed by walking to the middle of a forest, hidden from crowded spots on the holiday island.
Local Rey Mar Olasiman Amista said: 'The place is very beautiful, but not many people knew about it until recently when journalists came here to feature it.
'It is a small pool at the bottom of the cave. Everyone who comes there is enchanted by its beauty.'
The Cabagnow Cave Pool is formed naturally, with an underground water source filling the sinkhole. Its open top allows sunlight to illuminate the water, creating a vibrant colour.
