A drunk tourist sparked outrage by urinating in the middle of a road in Thailand.

The intoxicated foreigner was spotted by locals holding his manhood while peeing in front of a store near Karon Beach in Phuket on December 16.

Footage shows the holidaymaker standing on a zebra crossing while urinating in public.

Upon seeing him, a passing local man can be heard scolding him.

He then zipped up his pants, wobbling in the road, and apologised to the onlookers.

He can be heard saying: 'I do wrong. I know. Cannot wait. I have to. Sorry.'

Moments later, a woman, appearing to be his carer holding a walking stick, approached and dragged him away before handing him his cane.

In the same year, foreigners were caught urinating in public in Phuket.

In January, a video showed a foreigner standing on the back of a Tuktuk and urinating.

Another video, shared in June, a tourist was seen urinating while seated inside an open minibus stuck in a traffic jam in the Patong area.

These issues among tourists sparked outrage among residents and locals.

Others blamed the free visa scheme, arguing that it had led to a decline in the quality of tourists, especially following the pandemic.
