This is the shocking moment a balloon seller's helium canister exploded, injuring two people in India.

Vendor Laxman Singh was filling a cylinder with helium gas when it suddenly blew up in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on January 12.

CCTV footage shows the gas cylinder exploding and emitting thick black smoke.

The market stall holder was thrown into the air as the metal container struck his legs, causing him to collapse to the ground.

Eyewitnesses reported that as soon as he poured a liquid into the cylinder after adding the gas, a loud explosion occurred. The balloon seller, along with his bicycle, was launched into the air and landed some distance away.

Local media reported that two women in a nearby house were also injured when fragments of the cylinder struck them.

Police reportedly transported the vendor and one of the injured residents to a private hospital for treatment.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion.
