Firemen rescue hapless employee who became stuck in office chair
This is the hilarious moment firemen rescued a hapless employee who became stuck in an office chair.
The worker had her nose piercing caught in a hole in the chair, prompting her colleagues to send her to the fire department for help in removing the piece of jewellery in Bandung, Indonesia, on January 10.
CCTV footage shows employees attempting to yank the septum ring out of the chair. However, they were unable to remove it and decided to transport the woman to the firefighters' headquarters.
In another clip, she can be seen sitting on the chair while one of the officials jokingly brought out a saw to lighten the situation.
They even joked that they would have to cut off her nose. Moments later, they removed the ring using pliers and jokingly sang a happy birthday song to the victim.
The rescue operation reportedly took only five minutes, with the woman sustaining no injuries from the comical incident.
Fireman Mochamad Alam Priabadi said: 'We always try to calm the victim down by joking around. We even pretended to use big tools like a grinder to lighten the mood before finally using small wire cutters to handle the job.
'The incident wasn't the strangest call we've ever had. We've had cases involving freeing a finger stuck in a window latch, removing a stubborn ring from a private area, and helping a child whose finger was stuck in a table.
'It's all part of the job, but the nose piercing incident was definitely one of the most entertaining,' he added.
