Indian man sets world record by tying world's largest turban
An Indian man set a world record by tying the world's largest turban.
Pawan Vyas established the achievement by tying a 2025ft (618-metre) long turban in just 20 minutes and 32 seconds at the Nagarsheth Lakshminath Temple in Bikaner, Rajasthan, on January 10, during the three-day International Camel Festival 2025.
Footage shows Pawan swiftly attaching the turban to the head of Sri Rahul Shankar Thanvi, with an estimated weight of 25 kg.
The event attracted large crowds of local and international spectators, eager to witness the record-breaking moment.
Pratham Bhalla, a representative of the World Book of Records in London, was present to verify the record and present the certificate commemorating the accomplishment.
In Rajasthan, turbans, referred to as Pagri or Safa, are a traditional headwear. They are typically made from cotton, silk, or a blend of fabrics, with variations in length and style, reflecting the region's cultural practices.
