This is the heartwarming moment locals rescued a dog that was stuck under a flooded restaurant.

Tusacha heard puppies crying under the restaurant's platform in Nonthaburi Province, Thailand.

Footage shows the locals looking under the building to retrieve six puppies from the flooded ground.

They initially retrieved three puppies, soaking wet from the rain.

Then, Tusacha's son, JC, aged 6, volunteered to help retrieve the rest of the puppies as he could easily fit inside the underground to get the remaining three.

The boy used a flashlight and grabbed the dogs one by one.

Tusacha said: 'I am proud of my son's courage and sacrifice and am not afraid to get dirty from the rotten water.'

Tusacha adopted the puppies to care for them as members of her own pet family.
