This is the heartwarming moment a local carried pet dogs in his arms through a flooded road during Typhoon Gaemi.

Rodel Tamayo Lopez watched as a devoted neighbour waded through the muddy waters carrying two Aspins in Manila, the Philippines, on June 24.

Footage shows the pet owner carefully walking in waist-high floodwater while the well-behaved animals leaned against his chest during the rainfall.

The filmer can be heard praising the man, saying he salutes his dedication to saving the pooches.

The country has been experiencing severe rainfall from Typhoon Gaemi, which has since moved to Taiwan.

The rainstorm affected one million residences and killed at least 14 individuals as the typhoon exited the country's area of responsibility. It killed at least three people in Taiwan.
