Tourists were seen fighting outside bars in a drunken row in Thailand.

The holidaymakers sparked panic when they started screaming and shoving each other along the busy Thawewong Road on Phuket island at around 10 pm on January 13.

Footage shows the reportedly inebriated men fighting among themselves before other tourists intervened and separated them. They then walked away into separate hotels.

Onlooker Nasan Pongpaew said the tourists arrived on Phuket drunk from the floating Yona Beach Club before they began arguing with each other.

The scuffle sparked outrage among furious locals who blamed the Thai government's free visa scheme on the spate of 'low-quality' tourists in Thailand.

Officials implemented the scheme to boost revenue from the tourism sector. But the policy has also attracted undesirables from different nations to the country.
