Drivers battled through severe snow in Cottonwood Canyons.

Motorists have been experiencing wet slush and accumulated powder on the roads in Utah on March 5.

Footage shows roads covered in snow, with snowsqualls causing low visibility on the motorway.

SR-190 and SR-210 highways were reportedly turned into treacherous pathways after a continuous snow blast battered the area.

Over on SR-210, the lower-mid sections slog through wet slush, while the upper reaches are smothered in snow from White Pine at milepost 8.7. Thick snow around the S Curve at milepost 6.2 caused difficult travel for drivers.

Authorities are encouraging drivers to use traction devices to help vehicles grip the road in slippery conditions.

The weather forecast predicts that the snow is set to ease off around 9 am today, but showers will linger through 6 p.m., piling another half inch to two inches of road snow on the upper canyons. Locals will experience dry conditions through 6 am on March 6.
