Workers were suffocated while cleaning a water tank in India.

Four employees died due to a lack of oxygen while cleaning a large water tank at the Bismillah Space Building in Nagpada, Mumbai, on March 9.

One worker sustained injuries and was admitted to J.J. Hospital, while two others lost their lives during the cleaning process. The remaining two individuals later died in the emergency room.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) promptly rescued the affected workers and transported them to the hospital.

A total of five workers were involved in the incident, with four fatalities confirmed by the Chief Medical Officer. The fifth individual remains in stable condition.

Police are currently investigating the incident.
