Pair of magpies tear cotton from cover of electric scooter
This is the amusing moment a pair of cheeky magpies tore cotton from the cover of an electric scooter.
Footage shows one playful bird gathering the soft material from the vehicle's shield before flying to another, where it continued collecting soft fibres with its companion in Haidian District, Beijing, China, on March 11.
Locals said the mischievous birds were preparing for nest building ahead of the spring season.
Magpies are medium-sized birds known for their intelligence and striking black-and-white plumage. They are part of the crow family and are known to use various materials, like cotton, twigs, and other debris, to build their nests.
