This is the moment World War II barracks were loaded onto a truck to be moved to Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.

Contractors moved an army building from the 1600 block on March 18, shifting it from its long-time position to another corner of the expansive military installation.

Authorities said these structures will be reset in a different area of the post to accommodate the construction of new officer quarters at their current location.

All five buildings being moved were originally constructed 83 years ago, in 1942, during the development of Fort McCoy's cantonment area.
