Los Angeles, United States - April 01, 2025 04/01/2025 10:50 am (GMT-0700) EL MONTE, Calif. – Los Angeles County firefighters and El Monte police, along with California Highway Patrol officers from the East Los Angeles Area station, responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle that came off the 10 Freeway at Santa Anita Avenue and landed in a riverbed in El Monte. Upon arrival, emergency responders found a vehicle overturned in the riverbed, with one person ejected from the car. Two individuals were transported to a local hospital; their conditions remain unknown. The cause of the vehicle's departure from the freeway is currently unclear, and investigators are looking into whether speed or alcohol played a role in the crash. The CHP will handle the investigation and has requested evidence related to the incident.
