Back to Nature: Lizard's New Journey a second chance at life for some lucky lizards.
The Foreigner, the Kids, and the Great Lizard Rescue
One sunny afternoon in the Isan region, a curious foreigner was exploring a village when something caught their eye—kids running around like little ninjas, climbing trees and chasing lizards like it was the Olympics.
The foreigner walked over and saw the kids carefully stuffing the lizards into a mesh bag.
“Whoa! What are you doing with those poor lizards?” the foreigner asked, a little shocked.
“We’re gonna eat them!” one kid said proudly, holding up a wiggling bag like it was a trophy.
The foreigner gasped. “Eat them?! Oh no! Poor lizards!”
Then, with the seriousness of a secret agent, the foreigner leaned in and whispered, “Can I buy them from you?”
The kids looked at each other, shrugged, and said, “Sure. 60 baht.”
Deal.
Money exchanged hands, the foreigner took the bag, marched dramatically into the bushes—and opened it like a magician’s hat. The lizards shot out in every direction, probably thinking they had just escaped from a cooking show.
The kids laughed. The lizards ran. The foreigner felt like a hero in a wildlife movie.
From that day on, the kids had a new name for the visitor: The Lizard Liberator.
And every school holiday, whenever they saw a foreigner walking by, they’d whisper, “Maybe we’ll get another 60 baht!”
