Barge carrying bricks capsizes with fast-footed worker scurrying to safety
This is the shocking moment a barge carrying bricks capsized as a fast-footed worker scurried to safety across the hull.
The dry bulk cargo vessel was moored when two passing boats created waves that rocked the vessel in An Giang, Vietnam, on February 16.
The disturbance caused the watercraft to lose balance and overturn on the Xa No Canal
CCTV footage shows a man sitting on the dock as the ship tilts sharply from the choppy waves.
He quickly steps off the vessel upon realising it's about to flip, nimbly walking across the rolling deck as tonnes of bricks crash into the water.
Another employee also managed to escape just in time, sprinting toward the riverbank.
However, the wife of one of the workers on board drowned in the incident.
Rescue teams were deployed to retrieve the body, which was recovered later that afternoon and taken to her hometown in Vinh Long for burial.
