Russian boyfriend questioned after woman falls to death from balcony in Pattaya
A Russian tourist was questioned over the death of a woman who plunged to her death from a condominium in Thailand.
The man was interrogated by officers after Kyznkoba Kuzikova, 26, plunged from the 14th floor of the building in Pattaya on April 7.
Police arrived at the scene after receiving a report at 4 pm. They found the naked holidaymaker lying face-down in a garden hedge with a green towel wrapped around her waist.
Hotel staff said Kyznkoba lived alone in the condo, but had been receiving regular visits from a Russian man she had met in the building around three days ago.
During questioning, the man, whose identity has not been disclosed by officials, claimed he was working on his laptop while Kyznkoba was taking a shower.
He said he heard her arguing with someone over the phone before she suddenly bolted out of the bathroom and allegedly leapt from the balcony.
A police spokesman said: 'The police have sent the deceased's body to the Police General Hospital's Institute of Forensic Medicine to determine the cause of her death. We are also co-ordinating with the Russian Embassy to begin legal procedures.'
Thai 'Sin City' Pattaya has become a popular tropical haven for Russians escaping the war with neighbouring Ukraine.
