This is the shocking moment a rider on an electric scooter slammed into a Mercedes turning onto a side street.

Dashcam footage shows the black sedan manoeuvring on the road when the speeding two-wheeler collided with the car in St Petersburg, Russia.

The four-wheeler can be seen slowing down and flashing its rear indicator to signal a left turn on April 8.

However, the reckless scooter rider failed to notice the blinking lights and accelerated on the motorway.

Upon impact, he flew over the handlebars and landed on the tarmac.

He immediately stood up as if nothing had happened, while the vehicle braked in time to avoid running him over.

The rider did not sustain any serious injuries in the incident.
