Los Angeles, United States - April 29, 2025 04/29/2025 01:52 am GMT-0700 SAN DIMAS, Calif. – Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies from the San Dimas station and firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle that struck a power pole at the intersection of West Cypress Street and South Lone Hill Avenue in San Dimas. Upon arrival, first responders found the vehicle wedged under the fallen power pole, which had knocked the car, temporarily trapping the driver inside. Firefighters successfully extricated the driver from the wreckage, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition. Authorities have not yet determined whether alcohol or speed played a role in the crash. The collision caused a power outage for residents in the vicinity, and California Edison was en route to the site to address the downed lines. In the meantime, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department closed the intersection to traffic due to safety concerns.
