This is the hilarious moment a crab bit a mother's finger and refused to let go.

The small crustacean had wandered into the house, prompting the woman to catch and release it outside in Kalasin, Thailand.

However, just as she attempted to grab it, the feisty creature clamped its claw tightly onto her finger on May 3.

The homeowner said: 'I was in front of the house at the time and I heard my mother scream. I panicked, thinking she had slipped.'

Footage shows the mum sitting on the kitchen floor in agony, crying out in pain.

She then stands up, walks to the backyard, and tries pouring water on the animal to get it to release her.

Eventually, the crab loosened its grip and let go.

Crabs use their claws for defence and can deliver painful pinches, with some exerting up to 90 pounds of pressure. They latch on when threatened, compressing skin and tissue, which can cause intense pain or even break the skin.
