A pet horse that was stuck under a ravine for two days was rescued in Brazil.

The equine went missing and was later found at the bottom of a 30ft (7m) deep chasm in a forested area in Minas Gerais state.

Footage shows the farm animal with its body tied to a harness before being lifted out on May 10.

Firefighters had to build a pulley to help with the weight as they extracted the steed from the hole.

After five hours of operation, the beast was unhurt and returned to its caretakers.
