This is the terrifying moment a home slides down a hill during a landslide in Myanmar.

Dramatic footage shows a cement house, already leaning, slowly slipping down a hill in the mountainous township of Lay Shi on May 30.

Local media reported that the rockslide was triggered by relentless rainfall that began on May 20, saturating the ground and destabilizing the slope.

Myanmar and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are at the start of their annual monsoon rainy season, which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms. The rudimentary infrastructure often struggles with the deluge, leading to widespread flash floods.
