A stylish pet dog stole the spotlight in a colourful boho drifter outfit that matched his owner's clothes at a fashion show.

Footage shows the pair waiting for their turn to climb the stage wearing coordinated patchwork garments in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

The one-year-old American Bully named Tia wore a shirt made from an old bedsheet and pink rags fashioned into pants.

He also sported a ruffled wig that matched his owner Saint's hairstyle as they strutted down the runway, delighting the crowd with their creative DIY outfits.

The pet owner said: ‘We joined the Fancy Dress Contest organised by the Thai Pitbull Association.'

The competition's theme was ‘family' and the duo won third place with a 500 baht (11.34 GBP) cash prize on June 14.

He said: ‘The guards at the venue thought we were homeless people and would not let us enter at first.'
