Two buses seen racing along dual-carriageway in the Philippines
This is the heart-stopping moment two buses were caught racing along a dual carriageway in the Philippines.
Dashcam footage from a car behind shows a coach driving along Aguinaldo Highway in Cavite on June 8, around 5:30 pm.
Suddenly, a speeding bus appears and overtakes on the right side of the filming car before honking its horn, seemingly chasing the first large vehicle.
One of the occupants said: 'They might collide or drag others into the accident. That happens all the time. It's dangerous.'
In 2023, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported 13,101 deaths caused by road traffic accidents. In 2024, the Department of Health's Online National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (ONEISS) logged more than 37,000 injuries.
Common causes include overspeeding, driving under the influence, distracted driving, and aggressive driving.
