This is the chaotic moment shoppers stormed into a second-hand shop to buy cut-rate Japanese products.

Footage shows eager bargain hunters armed with red baskets racing into the Changpong Tribe ‘Miami Bayside' shop in Samut Prakan, Thailand, within seconds of the store opening on June 28.

The store had launched a weekend sale of second-hand items imported from Japan, sparking a frenzy among the locals hoping to snap up quality household items at a reduced price.

Shop manager Shohei Oikawa said today: ‘We have been operating at this location since about 2020.

‘Our company sells second-hand goods and used clothing imported from Japan.

‘Yesterday and the day before were the first days of sales for products imported from Japan, so many customers came to get their hands on popular items.

‘Items that are popular with Thai customers include bags, toys, clothes, daily necessities, cooking utensils, and other products.'
