Los Angeles, United States - June 30, 2025 06/30/2025 03:17 am GMT-0700 WILMINGTON, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A structure fire was reported in a Wilmington neighborhood early Monday morning. The Los Angeles Fire Department initially dispatched units to investigate smoke at approximately 3:17 a.m. at a location near 1000 North Cristobal Avenue, at the intersection of Cristobal Avenue and East Opp Street. By 3:37 a.m., the situation escalated, prompting a request for three additional task forces due to heavy fire in a pallet yard that was exposing a nearby auto shop. Firefighters transitioned to a defensive mode as the fire became well-involved with the large auto body shop.
