Quick-thinking tourist catches two girls being dragged away by river
This is the incredible moment a quick-thinking tourist caught two little girls as strong currents were dragging them away.
Footage shows Nur Alimin standing in the middle of the fast-moving water when the pair slipped past him in Central Java, Indonesia.
Nur immediately crouched down to lower his centre of gravity and caught both children, holding them securely by each arm.
The Good Samaritan kept them steady until their father rushed over and took them to safety.
Nur's wife Rina Virliana said: ‘That day, our family planned a swimming trip. After arriving, we had breakfast, and my husband entered the river.'
Although the current was powerful, Nur has a sturdy frame which helped him stay in place unlike the small kids who were easily carried away.
Rina added: ‘Not long after, we heard shouting. It turned out the kids had been swept downstream.'
Nur, a singer in a reggae band who is also known as Memble MC, reacted quickly to the cries, grabbing them just in time.
Both girls were unharmed and reunited with their parents who thanked the hero tourist.
