US, Bakersfield: Lamont 2-Alarm Fire Destroys Warehouse and 3 Mobile Homes in Kern County With Sound On Tape
Bakersfield, United States - July 13, 2025 07/12/2025 09:47 pm GMT-0700 LAMONT, KERN COUNTY, Calif. – A massive 2-alarm fire erupted at a warehouse in Lamont, California, rapidly spreading to a nearby mobile home park and igniting multiple spot fires across Georgia Road due to heavy ember cast. Fire Engineer and Public Information Officer Jon Drucker of the Kern County Fire Department confirmed that at least three mobile homes were destroyed, but no injuries have been reported. Fire crews are using water from a nearby reservoir in a process called drafting to maintain continuous fire suppression. A ruptured gas line is also actively burning, with fire officials allowing it to self-vent until gas company crews can shut it off. The fire remains under investigation, and residents are urged to avoid the area for firefighter safety.
